Meet Our Production Manager, Pepe Rivera

The Fruit Company sends out beautiful fruit baskets, towers, boxes and more to loved ones nationwide. We could not do what we do without our dedicated employees. We are excited to highlight one of our longest serving employees, Pepe Rivera, who is our amazing Production Manager.

Pepe has dedicated over a decade to The Fruit Company and we are so grateful for his skill and work ethic.  As Production Manager, Pepe oversees a crew of talented gift assemblers to ensure timely and accurate production of all gifts. During his impressive 15 year tenure, he has helped facilitate the delivery of millions of fruit gifts nationwide.

Born in Morelia, Mexico, Pepe moved to Hood River as a child and upon graduating from high school left to San Diego in 1994, then moved to Phoenix in 2000 for work. He and his family moved back to Hood River permanently in 2002.  As a native to Hood River, Oregon, Pepe enjoys being around extended family and the endless outdoor activities the city has to offer. He is a believer of giving back and dedicates his free time to coaching competitive soccer teams and refereeing baseball and soccer games. Pepe adores his family, and enjoys spending time with his four daughters (Cielo, Mia, Ocean, Vida) and his beloved wife, Maria.

Pepe loves working for The Fruit Company. One reason is because of his coworkers, whom he says, “have all been and continue to be awesome to work with.” Pepe also has a deep respect for management, who gave him the opportunity to learn and grow as Production Manager. When asked about Pepe, John Stoddard (Director of Operations) says,

Pepe has seen the company grow from a handful of employees to nearly 200 during the peak holiday season. Pepe is a friendly and engaging manager and is very well-liked by all of his fellow employees. He has a great sense of humor and has been known to play very funny practical jokes on many of his fellow employees.”

A great sense of humor, giving personality and loyal employee, Pepe is deeply appreciated in the work that he does. This November 2017, marks 15 years with The Fruit Company.
