Our mother was integral in the first stages of The Fruit Company. When we decided to expand our family orchard operation to the national gifting business it is today, the two of us set up shop in her farmhouse, located in the midst of the Webster family orchards. Gifts were made in her garage and bookkeeping was done in the basement. It was rustic, but there were perks: Mom always had loaves of hot fresh, homemade bread and jars of fantastic homemade strawberry jam for us to eat. She offered incredible support for our fledgling days, beyond just baked goodies. Even though we’ve moved a few miles down the road, Mom still visits and asks how business and the crop are doing. When we look back on the start of this company, it wouldn’t have possibly been the same without our Mom’s love and support. Thank you Mom!
