I am always looking for new fun ways to involve my kids more in the kitchen. Teaching them where food comes from, the importance of healthy fruits and vegetables, and the joy of cooking for others. Recently we were in desperate need of adding some extra Vitamin-C back into our diets, so we decided to put together a fruit salad combined with all of the beautifully sweet fruits we love. My children are not quite old enough to use knives, which is why we turned this basic fruit salad into a cute Valentine’s Day treat. Using a variety of heart shaped cookie cutters for the melons and pineapple. We cannot wait to make this healthy fruit salad for our friends and family this Valentine’s Day.
