An Afternoon in the Orchard
There is nothing more peaceful here at The Fruit Company, than taking a stroll through the Webster Family orchard. As soon as your feet move from the hot pavement on to the soft grass you instantly sense the change of environment.
The rows stretch on for quite a bit. Everywhere you look are gorgeous Webster Royal Comice pears, still young and basking in the warmth of the summer sun. If you stop you can hear the sounds of the wind rustling through the short bushy leaved branches, keeping you cool as you take in the view. Towering above, sits Mt. Hood. Her year round snow covered peak adds a beautiful backdrop to the already splendid environment.
And then the hard part, stepping out of the quietness and back to the hustle and bustle of the busy world.

July is such a great time of year. Sitting out on your porch in the warmth of the evening and getting to enjoy time with your family and family and friends. Well if you haven’t heard by now, our cherries are ready for your eating delight. We have been waiting for the finest Rainier and Dark Sweet Bing’s to be ready to be picked and shipped out. The fruit is exceptionally good. We have the cherries all month so if you cant get enough of them the first order be sure to get your second order in before the end of the month to get them before they are gone. mach zehnder modulatorAs the holiday weekend approaches and the kids get excited for the flashing spectacle that awaits them on Saturday night, the men dust off the BBQ, and all prepare for the social holiday of the year, sometimes the reason and cause is easily forgotten. Why are we celebrating? It is amazing when actually sitting down to read the Declaration of Independence to see the passion, determination, and dedication that were shown by those men who signed it as representatives of a people that had been trod on and had their rights stripped from them.I feel it is thus appropriate to remember their key words as we celebrate (whole heartedly) the steps that they took to create our nation.
When in the Course of human events it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another and to assume among the powers of the earth, the separate and equal station to which the Laws of Nature and of Nature’s God entitle them, a decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to the separation.
We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. — That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, — That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness.
We, therefore, the Representatives of the united States of America, in General Congress, Assembled, appealing to the Supreme Judge of the world for the rectitude of our intentions, do, in the Name, and by Authority of the good People of these Colonies, solemnly publish and declare, That these united Colonies are, and of Right ought to be Free and Independent States, that they are Absolved from all Allegiance to the British Crown, and that all political connection between them and the State of Great Britain, is and ought to be totally dissolved; and that as Free and Independent States, they have full Power to levy War, conclude Peace, contract Alliances, establish Commerce, and to do all other Acts and Things which Independent States may of right do. — And for the support of this Declaration, with a firm reliance on the protection of Divine Providence, we mutually pledge to each other our Lives, our Fortunes, and our sacred Honor.
